The Colorado Habitat Exchange is a program developed to incentivize habitat improvements and conservation on private, state, and federal lands that would offset impacts to Greater Sage-Grouse habitat in Colorado. The habitat exchange represents a collaboration by industry (COGA), agriculture (Colorado Cattleman’s Association), agencies (CPW), and environmental groups (Environmental Defense Fund).  The State of Colorado is currently seeking approval from the USFWS for the program. Ms. Porter served as the liaison for COGA in development of the habitat exchange and will provide a summary and explanation of the habitat exchange program and its intricacies.
